Like many others I have just purchased a new iPad and I love it and just can’t get enough of it. One of the problems I have is having to hold it all the time. I also hate laying it down on the counter, I was looking for some kind of holder for it. That’s when I came across the Altec Lansing MP450 Speaker it’s exactly what I was looking for.
Now I knew that they had docks for iPods but I didn’t know they had them for iPads as well. It’s an awesome idea and I am so excited when I found out about it I went to the store right away and bought one. I work in a nursing home and quite often bring my iPad to work with me. I like to watch and share movies with the residents; with this Altec Lansing MP450 speaker I can do just that.
We get all set for the movie and I dock my iPad, tilt it so we can all see then we watch the movie. It was quite bothersome before as I would have to hold the iPad or try to prop it with something. This way I was unable to have my hands free to tend to my residents. I was also worried when propping it up that it might fall and get damaged.
There are so many neat things about this unit. While we are watching the movie and it’s docked it’s charging my iPad at the same time. I was actually quite pleased with the wonderful sound that came from the dual speakers. The rotating stand was great as well so I could adjust it when someone moved. This was great as it a lot easier to rotate the dock then it is to readjust a wheelchair. I also appreciated that I could operate the Altec Lansing MP450 speaker with a nice little remote. The first time we used the dock with my iPad was a pleasure. All the extras this dock came with really helped us enjoy our movie.
I can also say I was so excited to find this dock for my iPad I would have paid any price they asked. So I was pleasantly surprised to find how reasonably priced it was. For the convenience it brings to me it’s well worth the price. I also found since I bought the Altec Lansing MP450 Speaker I have used my iPad more and more. Without the dock it was almost a bother to use my iPad at times, not now. I take the dock everywhere, the bathroom, kitchen and to work. I get full use of my iPad and it never runs out of juice as I always have the dock with me as well so it is always getting charged.
So if you are like me and want to get more use from your iPad then you should definitely look at buying the Altec Lansing MP450 Speaker. You will love the flexibility of it and how easy it is to use.
