If you are looking for a portable speaker with solid sound quality, the iHome iHM60 Rechargeable Mini Speakers are perfect for your iPad. The compact speaker extends for surprisingly big sound, and snaps shut for the ultimate in portability. You can always carry one or two in your bag and you’ll always be ready for some jams.

The iHome iHM60 Rechargeable Mini Speakers is very similar to the X-Mini II above. The key differences are it’s larger than the X-Mini and doesn’t look as “polished”. It doesn’t have a volume control so you need to adjust the volume from your iPad. It doesn’t have a built-in cable so you need to use the USB charging/speaker cable but it’s MUCH sturdier than the cable on the X-Mini.

The sound is louder and the bass is better as well. This might be due to the diameter is bigger and the bellows are longer. It also comes with a medium-heavy duty black carrying bag, which is more substantial than the felt used for the X-Mini II bag.  The iHome iHM60 Rechargeable Mini Speakers has a speaker-out jack, just like the X-Mini II, for daisy-chaining speakers together.
